TESTIMONIALS

"During my time at the Work Ability Expo, as a recruiter, attending this event was a wonderful opportunity for me to meet individuals in person and gain a better understanding of their needs and abilities. This allowed me to share valuable insights with hiring managers and the team on potential options they can consider. The event provided a platform for individuals with disabilities to discuss their skills, and for employers to connect with a diverse pool of candidates. I would highly recommend this event to any employers or recruiters looking to expand their knowledge and network. Thank you for organising such a valuable event.

"Being at the WorkAbility Expo in Melbourne is absolutely exciting. A lot of people have come and started to have the conversation, which as a recruiter I love. We have spoken to them about what their passion is and what opportunities are there for them, and also what they are looking for in an employer." Belinda Sanger - Talent Acquisition Advisor

"It’s been really great to be part of the first WorkAbility Expo. We have had a really great time today. We’ve got to meet amazing people from all walks of life. The environment has really comfortable….people can sit down with us and have conversations about what they want to do. We talked a lot about opportunities within our contact centres and what we can offer from an organisational perspective. We will also be taking back some learnings to the office around flexibility and shift patterns. We will definitely be back!" Tash Murabi Talent Acquisition Partner

"This expo is such a great way for APM to get out and speak with people of the community; directly with people living with disabilities and parents/ people who provide supports. It is a wonderful way for APM to understand the gap in the market of helping people with a disability finding work and being supported in the workplace."

Essential Skills Training and Recruitment

"The Wollongong Workability was great! A very well laid out exhibition room, with attendees and exhibitors all interacting, networking and collaborating. As a provider, we found the event very beneficial as we were able to meet likeminded providers and identify how we can work together to help people, as well as providing people interested in our offerings the chance to ask all the questions they have and explore how our services could help them achieve their employment goals. Well done to the team at Impact Institute for a great event, and hopefully we see many more of these WorkAbility Expos in the future."

What our attendees are saying

“I have been to a few expos now and this was really great. The venue was amazing and had plenty of room to move around without bumping into other people. The amount of information you could get was incredible and there were plenty of places to sit and have a test and eat. I will definitely be going back again.”

“The expo allowed me to access information in a way that I simply couldn't have done online. Not only did I receive support to engage with further sports, but I had interactions with people that touched my heart and made me feel accepted and celebrated for who I am. The interactive games and prizes also made it so much fun! I truly loved it and am so grateful that this is something available for our community, for free!”
