Empowering You to Become Job-Ready
This presentation will cover how first impressions count plus preparing for the interview and how to manage nerves, behaviour and how to answer questions.

11:00am National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) NDIS Employment Assistance
Learn about the employment supports available through the NDIS to help participants build skills for work, find and keep a job.
Receive useful information and resources to help participants talk about their work goals, prepare for a planning conversation and connect to a suitable provider.
11:30am Department of Social Services (DSS) Job Access (Disability Employment)
Join us to find out more about JobAccess; workplace adjustments and other support available to ensure you are able to stay in employment.
12:00pm Council of Intellectual Disability More Then Just a Job – Helping People Understand Their Skills and Strengths
At this workshop will be an overview of how to make your workplace truly inclusive with some key practices. It will also cover some powerful benefits of an inclusive workplace, not just for people with disability but for teams, organisations and businesses more broadly. The information will be simple but powerful, accessible and relatable with some anonymised case studies mentioned.

Fundamentals for Employers: Co-designing Inclusive Recruitment Practices for Employers
Come join genU Training for the opportunity to contribute to our upcoming micro-credential, focused on providing employers the capability to inclusively attract, find, interview, onboard and support people with disability in their employment.
This workshop will be interactive and aims to capture real experiences and input from people with lived experience which will inform the content in the course, ensuring it meets the needs, and is informed by, the voices of people with disability.

The expo is designed for people with disabilities who are looking for employment, their families, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning about inclusive employment opportunities.

The event is free to attend, but we recommend registering in advance to secure your spot.

We encourage all attendees to register in advance to ensure a smooth check-in process and to receive updates about the event.

If you don’t have an email address or cannot register prior to the event – just come along on the day and one of our friendly staff will register you in.

A wide range of employers from various industries committed to employing people with disability will be present. This includes mainstream employers, dedicated disability employers, Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEs), small business and sole traders.

Yes, all our venues are fully accessible, with ramps and lifts available to ensure easy access for all attendees.
